Like so many other small businesses, we faced the Covid-19 shutdown and learnt much about ourselves, our clients and resilience.

Various tourism destinations in Queensland were affected by natural disasters or adverse events in 2018 and 2019 which led to much welcomed Queensland and Federal government funding for the North Queensland floods and Central Queensland bushfires.

The Mackay region is one that has a growing tourism sector. Whilst tourism has developed in leaps and bounds over the past number of years, the region’s economy is still very much driven by mining and the resource sector - tourism is very much in its early stages.

Noosa is a tourism powerhouse. The destination has enjoyed unprecedented growth in visitor numbers in recent times, and the shift for Tourism Noosa, the region’s peak tourism organisation, is towards sustainability and industry cohesiveness rather than mass growth in visitation.
